CUBE 1, 3D-printed interactive sculpture and oracular system, 2026
A 31-piece tetracube system combines a 5×5×5 spatial puzzle, a free-form construction set, and an experimental oracle.
The pieces are divided into five families: seven Bolts and six each of Crosses, Swords, Bridges, and Sprouts. They reconstruct a 5×5×5 cube around a one-cell gap at its center or can be stacked freely into new configurations. For oracular play, participants draw 11 pieces and read the sequence as past, present, and future using a lexicon derived from the five forms. They may then rearrange the pieces vertically, horizontally, or as connected or isolated groups in response to the reading. The work turns a nearly balanced geometric dissection into a system for construction, narrative, and ritual action.
