GIRAMUNDO, video installationb, 2026

Shot at two roundabouts in Joinville, Brazil, GIRAMUNDO uses a 6K drone camera that slowly rotates, tracking the circular movement of the vehicles below. The resulting footage is projected onto the ceiling, above a series of cushions and pillows that invite viewers to lie down and watch the world spin overhead. 

A familiar pattern of urban circulation gives way to a vertiginous perception of the interaction of celestial bodies, the play of natural and artificial light, and the fragile systems of coordination through which human movement is organized. Seen from above, the roundabout is a mechanical orbit, a social choreography and miniature cosmology of a world continuously turning around an empty center.
