GIRAMUNDO, video installation, 2026

A ceiling-projected video installation invites viewers to lie down and watch rotating drone footage of Joinville’s roundabouts above them.

The footage was captured over roundabouts in Joinville, Brazil, with a 6K drone. The camera rotates slowly, tracking the circular movement of the vehicles below. Shot at dusk, when street and car lights turn on, and the sun is still out. From below, a familiar pattern of urban circulation gives way to a vertiginous perception of the interaction of celestial bodies, through the play of natural and artificial light.
